Each winter, humpback whales from the northeast coast of the United States and Canada migrate down to the Caribbean to escape the cold. They spend January through April basking in the sun, mating and calving. On land, this time of year is the dry season (no hurricanes!) so it’s the best time to visit the Caribbean.
